Small Corporation or Large Corporation?

Choosing between a small or large corporation for an employer really depends on the individual’s priority. There are two ways to look at it, if you are after a better chance of promotion I will say that it is better to be in a small organization where your assertiveness can easily be seen and rewarded. To work in a large corporation means having to compete with a lot of people who have the same aim which is towards career progression. One’s initiative is quite more visible and gets easily rewarded in small organizations than in the large ones. On one hand, if you are after job security, better salary, and attractive benefits, I would definitely say choose the large corporation. However, choosing to work with a these giants may mean waiting for a lifetime to get the promotion that you have been waiting for, unless of course you start at a managerial level wherein you will have a say to most things.

The best advice that I can share to the younger ones who are fairly new in the industry is to set a career goal and start in a small organization where you can shine and be visible until you reach your goal. Upon reaching this certain goal and contributing to the organization explore the opportunities with a larger organization. Therefore you would not have to start at the lowest level in a big organization where visibility is almost impossible.

How I trained my pet

I got Dono when he’s 12 weeks old. The moment he got home I put a newspaper on the concrete and constantly reminded him (like he’s a real kid) that the spot is going to be his toilet. I never shouted at him when I was training him, when he miss I just gently touch his head and tell him not to do it next time then bring him to the newspaper and remind him once more to do it there. After a few days my friend knows where he should and should not. It’s so funny that he is so delicate that he only does it in clean newspapers so I make sure I replace the newspaper whenever it’s wet, otherwise he will hold it until he could no longer stop himself from doing it on the floor. :D

My friend also sleeps on my bed and surprisingly he never wet my carpet even if my door is locked and could never go out to his toilet during wee hours. At about 6am, my friend wakes me up by jumping out of the bed and trying to reach the door knob, and of course he couldn’t so he comes back to me and stare at me with his right front foot touching my hand desperately trying to wake me up. When I turn on the other side of the bed, he’ll go running to that side and stare at my face once more and touch my hand. So I will get up and open the door and he’ll be running like Flash towards his toilet made of newspapers. :D He’s really funny and smart! He’s also a jealous boy, he wants all the attention and if he does not expect that he’ll lick your face until you finally look at him and hug him. :P

The secret to training your pet is to give them genuine love and care, I don’t know but they seem to feel your sincerity! :D

The Simpsons

How many adults like me are so into watching the adventures (and again, misadventures) of this very “unusual” family? If you look at it more carefully this family is not really “unusual” as what they seem to be. Like many of us, they also enjoy traveling, socializing with neighbors and friends, and have their own share of idiocy - I have to admit I’m enjoying that folly. :D

Bart Simpson is undeniably a charm, despite being a rascal this little boy lights up the screen and makes everyone laugh. I somehow see myself in little Lisa, I too have millions of questions until now. Like Lisa, I tend to distant myself from people when I was younger and used to be a class marshal who watch over the noisy ones if the teacher is away. :P Homer Simpson, at times I hate his ignorance and laziness - but if you think about it, there are a lot of real life Homer Simpson around us.

Marg, Maggie, Flanders, Krusty, Mo, Barnie, Ground’s Keeper Willy, Nelson, Ralph, Dr. Nick, Edna, Principal Skinner, Mr. Burns, Smithers, Granpa Simpson and more. If we closely look at them we’ll realize that they symbolize each one of us. I don’t think I’d get sick of watching it over an over again! :D

Introducing… my fluffy friend!

Name: Dono

Birthday: 4 February 2006

Age: 1 year and 7 months

Sex: Male

Breed: Maltese x Shitzu

Colour: Tri-colour

I was once reading the internal Ads at work and saw a photo of 2 cute creatures for sale. I never had a special dog in my entire life and thought that was the best time for me to have one! Besides it was my birthday, it’s not bad to give myself a gift that I love the most. :) My workmate’s parents were too kind to drive the little puppy from the country to my house and I loved this little one the moment I saw him. He’s just amazing!!! Everyone who sees him reckons he’s special, I don’t know but there’s something in him that makes him and at times he acts as if he’s human. :D

What’s with the banner…

…someone asked. Again, my answer is “nothing!!!” there is no particular reason, whatsoever, for choosing the banner. There is no sentimental value, nor experience that relates to it.  It is just that every time I feel like writing something, my mind wants to be in that state - where the silhouette in the banner is in. Writing by the beach while the sun sets seem so perfect and I love the thought of it! The ripples represent the thoughts that echo through ones mind every time words flow into their minds. - hey, can i say mine here??? - Maybe I can, it’s my blog anyway! :D

btw…kudos to the one who designed the banner!

Born on a Wednesday!!!

Wow!! I am getting so excited about this blog thingy especially that it was “born” on the same day as I was. Well, on my birth certificate it says that I was born on a Wednesday at 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon, which means my mum could have been in labor at this time - 10:22 a.m - and yes, same as my mum’s labor hours my brain is indeed at the moment. I just hope this first piece can make it at 3 this arvo.

Normally, bloggers start theirs by welcoming readers on their blog site. I don’t know, I just don’t want to do it that way for no reason. So instead of welcoming you to this blog site, I just wish you would welcome this site to your daily habit, well if your busy schedule permits.

I have been thinking - what am I going to write on my blog??? - there seem to be one for anything that we could possibly think of. I actually do not have anything in particular, I will just probably write anything that I find interesting or annoying things that i might stumble upon. So for those who catch the same train as I do - watch out!! - as you might realize you’re being pinpointed in one of my very public thoughts!! LOL :D

Oh well, everyone, please feel free to leave me (my blog - that is) a welcome note!!!  Ta!!
